This pattern is fantastic. The instructions were clear and with the exception of one or two small issues (which escape my memory, so they must not have been that significant), I have to give two big thumbs up for JoAnn Peterson. I would have to say that this pattern is geared towards someone with at least moderate sewing abilities, but overall, it was piece of cake from start to finish (however, using a non-repeating plaid for the pants posed a few panic attacks, but that was my fault, not the pattern’s).
The pants were easy to lengthen (important when making pants for someone who is six foot six) and the end result was a huge hit, with both the wearer and his adoring fans. I would not hesitate to make another pair of these pants, and as the pattern includes a women’s version, I might do just that for myself. They really are flattering style, after all.
