The pattern is for a dress from the Cincinnati Art Museum, but is basically for the bodice, only, with directions on how to make the skirt. It is a tailed or “postilion” bodice, but I extended the tail a bit in my version. The sleeves are a perfect “coat” style (but is also comes with a shorter sleeve option). I did not do the over-jacket, but used lace trim instead, a common technique back then. This was the first time I got a double-pointed bodice pattern to work the first time.
