I attempted to make this pattern “as is”, without any resizing, and was very disappointed. The point on the side seam where the waist curves in is far too high. It is so high that it interferes with the bust measurement. I placed this on my dress form and figured that a woman’s chest would have to be at her chin for this thing to be shaped correctly! Since this is supposedly a morning garment, I would have expected a less severe fit. Also, the photo shows a scrunched up bit of fabric along the collar, almost simulating the look of a draped scarf. The instructions don’t even mention this, let alone tell you how to achieve it. There is only a line on the pattern indicating where to place the lace. In the end, I had to make so many alterations and drape the neck scarf myself, that I could have done everything even without the pattern. It is only $7.00, but don’t waste even that much on this pattern.
