This is a modernized fit of a late 16th / early 17th century jacket, & it gives a really nice look! The godets at the waist provide a lovely flare, though they can be tricky to set in (I recommend doing those by hand). I modified the neckline & didn’t use the pattern’s collar, but otherwise I used it as-is. I cut up a crewel-work shawl to give the impression of an embroidered Jacobean jacket & supplemented the limited material with black wool, lining it all in linen. Recommended.
