On March 27, at 1:30 in the afternoon, the California Historical Society, in conjunction with the Greater Bay Area Costumer's Society, hosted a Victorian fashion show and afternoon tea. Guild members modeled a variety of re-creation period costumes that trace the development of fashion from 1850 through 1900.

Karen Tully was the commentator for the fashion show. She described the individual gowns and the significant design changes during the 50 year span. After the show, refreshments were served. Those attending the event also viewed the exhibition Carriage Days: California Costumes form the CHS Collection.
