A Darwinian Walk and Conversation

October 10, 1998                 Golden Gate Park, San Francisco

Colleen Sudekum, Lorraine Carson, Sheri Jurnceka, Douglas Williams, and Sandra Fontes set off on an adventure through the Primitive Plant area of Golden Gate Park.

Many Victorians were avid lovers of nature, collecting and cataloging specimens of flora fauna. Charles Darwin's theories came out of an era when the natural sciences were quite the vogue. Colleen Sudekum, GBACG member, amateur Botanist and enthusiastic gardener, led us through the Fern Grotto and Cycad Walk.
