The Greater Bay Area Costumer's Guild and the Bay Area Regency Society sponsored an afternoon studying late 18th and early 19th century costumes and dances. The first two hours were spent discussing costumes from the BBC productions Poldark (1975), Silas Marner (1985), War and Peace (1972), Sense and Sensibility (1981) and Northanger Abbey (1986). We watched clips from each film and saw the costumes, then the costumes were modeled and put on display for everyone to study.
