GBACG Attends the Opening Night of
13 November 1992
Kabuki Theatre, San Francisco

Directed by Francis Ford Coppola

Costumes by Eiko  Ishioka
Academy Award, Best Costume Design

GBACG members ventured into the chill night air, braving the crowds at the sold-out opening of Bram Stoker's Dracula. Many of the attendees created outfits especially for this occasion. Several passers-by commented favorably on our costumes. All in all, the evening was a great success. The theatre managers were extremely solicitious, reserving the choicest seats in the house for us. After the film, some of us went on to Kan Zaman, a charming Middle Eastern restaurant in the Upper Haight.

Forty GBACG members attended the late show of Dracula on opening night. Most wore period attire which was much admired by the theatre staff and audience alike.
