The spirit of the Romantic era lives on. We presented our first to-be-annual Romantic Poetry Competition and Boating Party. Ladies and gentlemen dressed in attire of the Romantic era (1795-1835) took to row boats on Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. Gentlemen rowed while ladies listened to the birds and the quiet sounds of the water lapping against the boats. After an hour on the lake we gathered in the Chinese Pagoda for a picnic, champagne and poetry readings.
